The Twin Tiers Honor Flight is a non-profit charitable organization created solely to honor America's veterans for their sacrifices. As part of the national Honor Flight Network, they transport veterans to Washington, D.C. in honor of their service so that they can visit and reflect at their memorials.

The Johnson City Senior Center is proud to support our friends at the Twin Tiers Honor Flight as a Shoe Drive collection site.

We collect gently worn, unwanted and new shoes. They need to be a matched pair.

This is a great opportunity to keep your shoes out of the landfill and donate them to a good cause.

The donated shoes go to the Twin Tiers Honor Flight organization who recycle them through Funds2Orgs. They in turn take the shoes and send them to third world countries to help individuals create small businesses that sell the recycled shoes. By donating your shoes to our organization, your shoes will be given a second chance and will help support the Twin Tiers Honor Flight's mission of honoring veterans.

The Johnson City Senior Center has been collecting shoes to benefit the Twin Tiers Honor Flight and support Veterans since 2022.

We'll continue to collect unwanted shoes throughout the year, except during tax season (February through mid-April).
