NEW! Greeting Card Workshop
Wednesday, August 19, 2:00 – 3:30PM
Learn how to make greeting cards with card-making afficionado Susan Steele. You’ll make two unique cards with precut materials. Cards will be assembled during class; some coloring, embossing, or die-cutting may be involved.
Class will be the third Wednesday of the month at 2:00PM. The first class is Wednesday, 9/19. The September class is Wednesday, 9/16.
Fee of $8 required for materials for two cards & instructor fee. Class limited to 8 participants; please register with the receptionist.

Widows & Widowers Support Group

This is a support group for Widows and Widowers to help navigate the grieving process.
The group is facilitated by Kathy Sheehan and Roxanne Chalker. They focus on positivity and share topics the group wants to discuss.
The group meets every other Tuesday.
Our September meetings are Tuesday, 9/1, 9/15 and 9/29.

LGBTQ+ Senior Social Hour

This social group hopes to establish a safe space to provide helpful, positive and supportive social interactions amongst local LGBTQ+ older adults.
They aim to promote dignity, caring and problem solving within the community by collaborating with local agencies in hopes of providing resources unique to the needs of the group.
The group is facilitated by Robert Hoover, local artist, retired magazine industry professional and Office for Aging Advisory Board Member.
This group meets the third Wednesday of every month.

Dementia Caregiver Support Group

This group is for caregivers of people living with Alzheimer's disease and dementia.
This support groups offers a way to:
- Develop a support system.
- Exchange practical information on challenges and possible solutions.
- Talk through issues and ways of coping.
- Share feelings, needs and concerns.
- Learn about community.
This group meets the third Wednesday of every month.

Southern Tier Orchid Society
Sunday, September 20
The group is on summer recess for July and August.
They meet the third Sunday of the month from September through May from 2:00 - 4:00PM. Social time begins at 1:30PM.
The group aims to enhance your knowledge and improve your experience with raising orchids. The meetings feature a scheduled guest speaker or other activities to help with you, such as their annual repotting workshop.
Their annual Orchid Show is in May at the Center.
