HUNTERDON HILLS PLAYHOUSE — "I LEFT MY DIGNITY IN MY OTHER PURSE"

HAMPTON, NJ

WEDNESDAY, MAY 25, 2022

Joyce DeWitt from “Three’s Company” stars in this hilarious comedic play – "I Left My Dignity in My Other Purse". Four days ago, Ruth Baker planned to retire and marry her fiancé in Tahiti, but then her retirement party spun wildly out of control, leaving Ruth too inebriated to remember everything that happened. Now with the help of her best friends, she must piece together the embarrassing events of that night. It promises to keep us laughing all afternoon.

Departure from the Center is 7:30AM and after a short stop, we’ll arrive at Hunterdon Hills Playhouse in Hampton, NJ. Lunch will be a plated entree followed by dessert (who can forget the dessert room?) and shopping.

Departing at 3:45PM, a dinner stop will be made enroute at Bingham's. We'll arrive back at the Center at approximately 7:15PM.

LANCASTER & AMISH COUNTRY

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 15 – FRIDAY, JUNE 17, 2022

Day 1 – June 15: Depart the Center at 7:00AM. Upon arrival in Lancaster, we'll enjoy a guided tour with a local guide through Amish farmlands. An included lunch will be in an Amish home. We'll stay at the Best Western Eden Resort for the next two nights. We'll depart at 5:30PM for dinner at the Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre and enjoy "Great Balls of Fire, The Music of Jerry Lee Lewis" performed by Jason Cohen. Remember "Good Golly, Miss Molly," "Shake, Rattle, and Roll," and "Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On"? Everyone will be on their feet before this show is over. Return to the hotel at approximately 10:30PM.

 

Day 2 – June 16: After breakfast at the resort, we’ll leave at 10:00AM to attend the performance of “David” at Sight and Sound Theater. Following the show, we'll have lunch at Hershey Farms. We'll have free time before we return to the hotel at 4:30PM. OPTIONAL: if you would like to shop at the Tanger Outlets, the bus will depart from the hotel at 5:30PM and return at 8:15PM.

 

Day 3 – June 17: After breakfast at the resort, we'll depart the hotel at 9:15AM for the Green Dragon Farmer’s Market. Shop the various vendors; lunch is on our own. We'll re-board the bus at 2:30PM and depart for home, stopping at Bingham’s for dinner and arriving back at the Center at 7:00PM.

LAKE GEORGE LUNCHEON CRUISE

THURSDAY, JUNE 30, 2022

We’ll depart the Center at 7:00AM and have a brief stop enroute to Lake George. We’ll board the Lac du Saint Sacrement for a buffet luncheon cruise from 12:00PM until approximately 2:00PM.

Enjoy a buffet-style meal that includes assorted soups and salads, warm entrees, cold sandwiches and dessert while listening to live music. Relax outside on the top deck and enjoy a perfect view of the pristine lake, also known as the "Queen of American Lakes," with a narrated account of popular sites like Bolton Landing and Sagamore Resort. Non-alcoholic drinks are included as part of the buffet; alcoholic beverages are available to purchase.

We’ll have a little time to shop before re-boarding our motor coach at 3:00PM.

Arrival back at the Center is approximately 6:30PM.

ADIRONDACK RAILROAD TO OLD FORGE, NY

WEDNESDAY, JULY 6, 2022

All aboard for the Adirondack Railroad! Ride climate-controlled coaches, or take in the fresh, clean air in their open car. We travel through remote forests, past sparkling rivers, over bridges, tranquil ponds and streams, into the magnificent beauty of the six-million acre Adirondack Park.

Relive the golden age of railroading, a time when wealthy entrepreneurs like Vanderbilt, Carnegie, J.P. Morgan and Collis P. Huntington built fabulous wilderness estates in the heart of the Adirondacks. The Adirondacks played host to the rich and famous on their way to these Great Camps.

Depart the Center at 6:30AM and travel to the Utica Train Station. We'll board at 9:30AM, ride first class and arrive at the Thendara Station. Then we're on to Old Forge at approximately 12:00PM. We’ll have free time to shop at the Old Forge Hardware Store and have time for lunch (our treat).

We'll re-board the bus at 4:00PM for home. Return time at the Center is 8:30PM.

LOG CABIN — LOBSTERFEST & DIXIELAND JAZZ

HOLYOKE, MASSACHUSETTS

THURSDAY, JULY 21, 2022

We’ll depart the Center at 7:00AM and arrive at approximately 11:15AM in Holyoke, Massachusetts. Stroll the grounds around the Log Cabin then sit down to a fabulous meal with friends.

The LobsterFest menu is one-of-a-kind!

It includes a welcome hors d'oeuvres tray and your choice of red or white wine, clam chowder, all-you-can-eat, family-style chicken and ribs, corn, baked potato with sour cream, THEN the star of the meal – a whole New England steamed lobster….. followed by a delicious dessert!!

The afternoon entertainment is the Riverside Ramblers Dixieland Show..... always a rousing favorite.

Depart at 3:30PM and arrive back at the Center at approximately 7:30PM.

MEDIEVAL TIMES LUNCH SHOW

LYNDHURST, NJ

TUESDAY, AUGUST 2, 2022

Departure from the Center is 7:00AM and arrive at the Lyndhurst Castle at approximately 10:30AM.

The 11th century comes alive as you explore the castle. Suits of armor stand guard as you walk through Her Majesty’s halls. For those not faint of heart, take a tour of the Torture Museum.

Medieval Times’ noble guests feast on garlic bread, tomato bisque soup, roasted chicken, sweet buttered corn, and herb-basted potatoes. And a feast isn’t complete without dessert! Satisfy your sweet tooth with a treat worthy of royalty served with hot coffee.

Before the show, take part in a knighting ceremony with the Queen..... long may she reign!

Watch almost two hours of jousting, swordsmanship, thrilling hand-to-hand combat, displays of extraordinary horsemanship and falconry as part of a riveting story set in Medieval Spain. Cheer on your favorite brave knight.

Arrival back at the Center at 5:15PM.

ALEXANDRIA BAY with ST. LAWRENCE SCENIC CRUISE

THURSDAY, AUGUST 18, 2022

Amidst the gentle waters of the St. Lawrence Seaway, there is a place like no other: Alexandria Bay, New York. The waters guide you to a place of year-round beauty. Of the 1,864 islands that dot the St. Lawrence River and comprise the spectacular 1000 Island Region, many of the most amazing islands can be found in, and surrounding, Alexandria Bay.

Turn a mid-day meal into a memorable occasion with a Thousand Islands luncheon cruise, combining their 2-Nation Tour with a delectable luncheon onboard one of Uncle Sam’s triple-deck vessels.

Depart the Center at 8:30AM and head north to Alexandria Bay, arriving at 11:00AM. We’ll board at 12:00PM and enjoy a delicious buffet lunch (from 12:00PM – 2:30PM) while cruising the St. Lawrence River. If you wish, complete your day with an unlimited stop at historic Boldt Castle, constructed in 1900 by George Boldt. Stay as long as you want, then return on any Uncle Sam shuttle vessel (free). NOTE: admission to Boldt Castle is an additional $11.00 per person.

We’ll re-board the bus at 4:30PM to head home, stopping at the Cracker Barrel in Watertown for dinner on our own. Arrival at the Center is 9:00PM.

NEW YORK STATE FAIR

SYRACUSE, NY

MONDAY, AUGUST 29, 2022

One of the oldest and largest state fairs in the United States, The Great New York State Fair offers nearly two weeks of entertainment, music, rides and exhibits! The fair has been a tradition since 1841 and attracts close to one million visitors yearly.

The 2022 edition of the New York State Fair will feature agricultural and animal exhibits, a midway packed with exciting carnival rides and games for all ages, a huge assortment of delicious food and treats, free midway entertainment, vendors, concerts and more!

Departure from the Center is 7:30AM with arrival at approximately 9:00AM in Syracuse. You’ll have until 3:00PM to have lunch, explore the exhibits and walk the Fairgrounds. Arrive back at the Center at approximately 4:30PM.

Seniors over 65 years of age are admitted to the fair for free. If you are accompanying someone under 65, you’ll need to purchase their fair ticket ahead of time.

PENN'S PEAK — FRANKIE VALLI TRIBUTE

“LIGHTS OUT” is a four-part vocal group that is being hailed as “America’s #1 Tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons”. The popular multi-talented group has been entertaining audiences for years by focusing on the art of harmony and the pure sound of their voices. With their infectious personalities, and their love of meeting the people who see them entertain, LIGHT OUT’s show is a must-see.

Departure from the Center is 9:00AM; we will arrive at Penn’s Peak at 11:00AM. A family-style dinner is served prior to the show and we will have time to browse the gift shop and enjoy the beauty of the Lehigh Valley and Pocono mountains around us.

After the show, we’ll re-board the bus with a stop at Bingham’s for dinner (on our own) before arriving back at the Center around 7:00PM.

PENN'S PEAK — PATSY CLINE TRIBUTE

The legendary Patsy Cline comes to life again in this national touring show, Memories of Patsy. This incredible tribute concert takes the audience on a trip back in time when this amazing country singer graced the stages of America.

Departure from the Center is 9:00AM; we will arrive at Penn’s Peak at 11:00AM. A family-style dinner is served prior to the show and we will have time to browse the gift shop and enjoy the beauty of the Lehigh Valley and Pocono mountains around us.

After the show, we’ll re-board the bus with a stop at Bingham’s for dinner (on our own) before arriving back at the Center around 7:00PM.

SILVER BIRCHES — OKTOBERFEST

HAWLEY, PA

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2022

When fall comes to Hawley, the scenery transforms, bringing brilliant fall colors and crisp air, surrounded by the beauty of the Poconos. Located on the shores of scenic Lake Wallenpaupack, it’s the perfect backdrop for celebrating Oktoberfest.

Pennsylvania’s history and culture have strong German ties, so it’s only fitting the Oktoberfest celebrations in the state are some of the best.

Departure from the Center is 7:30AM with arrival at approximately 10:00AM. A welcome reception begins our day, followed by a strudel-making demonstration by the chef and a chance to make our own pretzel.

Music and dancing will be from 11:15AM – 12:30PM with the Joe Lastovica Band. This will be followed by a family-style lunch. An open bar serves beer, wine and soda from 12:00PM – 3:00PM. There will be more time for dancing from 2:00PM – 3:30PM.

After an included snack, we’ll depart for home at 4:00PM. Arrival back at the Center is 6:00PM.

This highly recommended luncheon show is a tribute to Veterans, as well as a Holiday Show. Let’s show our patriotism and honor those who served our country.

Sit back and enjoy patriotic and holiday songs that promise to get us in the mood for Christmas with the Branson Country Christmas and Veterans Show.

We’ll depart the Center at 7:00AM and arrive at approximately 11:00AM. Stroll the grounds around the Log Cabin then sit down to a plated dinner with friends.

After enjoying the entertainment, we'll depart for home at approximately 3:30PM and arrive back at the Center at 8:00PM. We’ll stop enroute for a quick dinner break.

NASHVILLE CHRISTMAS

GAYLORD OPRYLAND HOTEL

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 30 – MONDAY, DECEMBER 5, 2022

Day 1 – November 30: Leave the Center at 7:00AM and depart for Roanoke, Virginia. Today we’re on the road, stopping for coffee breaks, lunch and dinner (on our own), before we stay overnight at the Country Inn & Suites

Day 2 – December 1: After breakfast at our hotel, we’ll leave Roanoke at 8:00AM and head for Nashville. We’ll stop for lunch (on our own) and arrive in Nashville mid-afternoon. After arriving at the Gaylord Nashville Hotel, in the late afternoon, we’ll board the Delta Riverboat and travel down a scenic river winding through Gaylord Opryland Resort's 4.5-acre Delta Atrium. Take in the natural beauty while our guide shares facts about the resort's plants and fish and answer your questions about our Nashville resort and its many activities. A $30 gift card is included.

Day 3 – December 2: After breakfast at the resort, we will depart at 8:00AM for a three-hour guided tour of Nashville. Following the tour, we will board the General Jackson Showboat to enjoy a relaxing cruise and delicious lunch that includes French-cut chicken breast, whipped potatoes, southern stir-fried green beans, rolls and dessert. This famous cruise ship takes guests to view the beautiful Cumberland River to see the waterside of downtown Nashville and its gorgeous hotels. The Cumberland River is a gorgeous and historic waterway winding throughout Nashville. This evening we’ll enjoy the dinner show at the hotel – Country Christmas Show featuring the Oak Ridge Boys.

Day 4 – December 3: After breakfast, we’ll visit the famed "ICE EXHIBIT" – a 40,000 square foot refrigerated event center. Our ICE experience starts with a short film about how the exhibit is made and the logistics behind how the ice is transported, carved and installed. We’ll be given big blue parkas, hats and mittens to enter the exhibit. After the exhibit, we'll enjoy lunch (with hot chocolate I’m sure).

After lunch, we’re off to the Country Music Hall of Fame – housing timeless stories and unlimited inspiration. Legends and treasures are protected and preserved here. Inside the museum, you're invited to stand up close to history, to get a glimpse of behind-the-scenes of the music and artists that sustained you this past year, and before, and beyond. Here, you'll find the moments that made country music history. Be moved, be inspired. There’s much to explore at the museum, from live music and interviews to educational family programs and current exhibitions, which follow country music’s story from its pre-commercial years through today.

Tonight’s dinner at 4:30PM is at the Santa Fe Cattle Company followed by a night at The Grand Ole Opry, the stage that showcases the past, present and future of country music. For 95 years, it’s been the home to the art form’s growth and change, from the first broadcast in the National Life Building on WSM’s Barn Dance in 1925 to the move into the new Opry House in 1974, and now to audiences across the globe on Circle TV and host to the 55th Annual ACM Awards in 2020. The Opry remains the platform that connects artists and fans to the music they love.

Day 5 – December 4: After breakfast at the hotel, we will depart Nashville at 10:00AM and head north to Roanoke, Virginia for the night at the Country Inn & Suites. We’ll stop for breaks, lunch and dinner (on our own) along the way.

Day 6 – December 5: After a deluxe continental breakfast at our hotel, we’ll begin our journey back to the Center, arriving at approximately 5:00PM.

ONONDAGA LAKE CHRISTMAS LIGHTS

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 7, 2022

Wegmans' Lights on the Lake is Central New York's #1 holiday tradition!

This two-mile long drive-thru show features towering holiday displays, larger-than-life Land of Oz, a twinkling fantasy forest, colorful arches, memorable animated scenes and a magical fairytale grand finale!

We'll drive through the show while listening to the wonderful sounds of the season on Sunny 102.1.

Departure from the Center will be at 10:00AM. Our first stop is the Destiny Mall with time to eat lunch and shop; you'll have time to purchase those hard-to-find gifts.

We’ll re-board the bus at 3:30PM to go to the Spaghetti Factory for dinner. We’ll drive the lake from 6:00PM – 7:00PM then head for home. Approximate return time to the Center is 8:30PM.
